This morning’s Cincinnati Enquirer features a lengthy story on how so-called “payday lenders,” a favorite target of the Archdiocese of Cincinnati’s Social Action office and its Democrat party allies, are supposedly violating the spirit of a 2008 Ohio law designed to constrain them. The good folks at the Reason Foundation have produced an excellent five-minute video that debunks many of the myths that surround this demonized industry. It shows how payday “reform” measures intended to help the poor end up leading more of them into bankruptcy.  Enjoy.
