My father passed into eternity on Monday, the 20th of February last, at 9:30 in the evening, surrounded by his immediate family, from complications related to multiple sclerosis. He was eighty-six years of age. He is survived by his devoted wife of nearly sixty years, my mother, the former Dorothy Ann Rosselot. He also leaves behind his sons, David and Stephen, and his daughters, Mary and Patricia, as well as eight grandsons and one great-granddaughter. Visitation and a Vigil for the Deceased were held at Evans Funeral Home in Milford, Ohio, on the evening of Friday the 24th, and a Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on the morning of Saturday, the 25th, at Saint Andrew Church, also in Milford. Internment is at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.

A tribute to his life — “Dad” — was published at my own weblog on Father’s Day last year. Other relevant works concerning his passing are as follows:

Donations in memory of the deceased may be sent to Saint Andrew Church, or to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.

Requiescat in pace. Amen.
