We processed with the good people of St. Cecilia through the streets of Cincinnati’s Oakley neighborhood after the 10 am Mass this morning. That’s Fr. Jamie Weber, the parish’s dynamically orthodox pastor, holding a monstrance at the first stational altar on the busy corner of Madison and Isabella. The next two were on the west and east ends of the esplanade on the town square; being there felt downright medieval. I’d estimate that half the 10 o’clock Mass-goers joined the procession. It was a beautiful witness to our faith in the Real Presence and a further testament to the necessity of faithful, wholesome, properly formed priests for parish renewal. No priest, no parish.
