I watched this a couple days ago. It’s wonderful. It should be required for all Social Studies, Math, Science, and Art teachers in the diocese. And then by every student above the sixth grade. Oops! Did I forget the Principals and other faculty and staff? And the Pastor? Sorry.
BTW–both Dennis Prager and Michael Medved are two observant Jews who know more about Catholic teaching and history than the average Catholic religion teacher, as well as the average Catholic. Prager’s and Medved’s programs are a joy to listen to. We used to have them on WKRC-FM here in Cincinnati some years ago. But they switched networks and now it’s pretty much just political talk shows. It would be great to have some national cultural talk programs on local radio that weren’t just NPR/leftist twaddle.
Let’s not overlook the contributions to the maintenance of Western civilization, from the beginning of the Dark ages, of the western European orthodox monastic orders. The Renaissance may never have occurred without the monks’ literacy endeavors. Additionally, the Arabs, prior to the seventh century, were a highly civilized group, along with the Chinese.
